S3.C0. Orientation day - Shark Alert!
Welcome to the real game. This isn't school. It's strategy, mindset, and action. Fail smart, lead fast — and let the future test you.
Hack A Business Orientation: Welcome to the Tank
Date: April 18
Location: Online | Across Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia
Why We’re Here
You want easy life ? Go back to 1970s . but here we all are. Our world is more unstable and divided than ever - and inorder to even survive this - we need to run on all cylinders - DAV79
The world doesn’t need merely more graduates. It needs thinkers, doers, and sharks — people who step up when no one else will. That’s what Hack A Business (HAB) is about.
At HAB Orientation Day, we didn’t just onboard participants. We challenged their mindset. Because the future doesn’t reward the best grades. It rewards those who know how to:
Lead without a title
Ask the right questions
Turn setbacks into strategies
Work with people, not just knowledge
🔥 The Tank Has Opened
The virtual room was buzzing — some from Hanoi, some dialing in from Singapore, and others still on the way. “Are we live?” asked DAV79, the moderator and mentor, sharp and focused. “Yes, we’re standing by.” With a smile and no delay, he welcomed each participant with personal curiosity: “Where are you from?” “What brings you here?” These were not icebreakers. They were catalysts. The room was not a classroom. It was a tank.
And just like that, the orientation began.
Thirty participants were expected. Ten showed up on time. And that was the first real test. A test for the leadership capabilities of the people who promised 30 people. This was already a test of commitment and the leadership capabilities were already only at 30% of what they committed. And this just the beginning - the road ahead was much fiercer.
“If you can’t even gather thirty people for a cause — how will you ever build a business?”
— DAV79, Lead Facilitator
The question was aimed at the potential partners of the event - questioning their credibility even…. but this was a teether phase and the team was willing to move forward - because the potential partners atleast tried.
In Hack A Business, attendance isn’t a formality — it’s a reflection of your leadership. Those who were present learned quickly: showing up isn’t enough - but for sure your attendance and your aspirations are already marked - and you get to be ahead of the others. Also to sharpen your skills you’ll need to bring others with you.
The Shark in the Tank
Cody asked. - What is someone that fails but is nonchalant and doesn't try to fix it?
wow - that was a cool question….
DAV79 - jumped in. In Japan, fishermen place a shark in the fish tank — not to eat the fish, but to keep them moving. Why?
Still fish become stale.
Moving fish stay fresh.
The shark keeps them alive.
In Hack a Business, you are the shark.
Your job? Keep the energy alive. Push your team. Challenge them. And when you see someone slow down — wake them up.

This Is a Global Arena
From Vietnam to Singapore, India to Oman, Malaysia to Germany — this is not a classroom. It’s a multi-country stage.

Work with industry partners
Solve real problems, not case studies
Experience failure — and build from it
Develop ideas that matter beyond borders
What Companies Are Really Asking Now
LIN91, another mentor jumped in. Forget, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”
Today’s employers are asking: many questions. I want you to start imagining that and attempting to respond to it. i would love you to ask as well….. and so they began to respond.
“What do you love to do — and what do you bring to our table?”
They want more than a resume. They want to see your value in action and they want to see this ASAP ( not as slow as possible)
In Hack a Business, you’ll learn to prove:
Your knowledge application
Your execution quality
Your personal effort and accountability
Your growth through feedback
Because value isn’t what you say — it’s what you deliver under pressure and it is how quickly you rise up after you have fallen - and how many times you can keep doing that - each time better and more graceful than the last time. This is your mindset training. and it starts now.
Your Journey from Now to December
This isn’t a one-time event. It’s a journey for a lifetime:
Hack A Business Challenges (tentatively , Apr–Jul) - ONLINE
Scan A Business (tentatively, Jul - Sep) - ONLINE
Field Forge : Industry Mentorships - 360° Feedback Loops - ONLINE
Divergence Series : Global Workshops that are both offline and online.
Center Stage : Sustainable Innovation Showcases (tentatively , Nov–Dec) - HYBRID - this should be the qualification to awards from Global Bodies representing true sustainability.
Only those who stay the course will unlock the full depth of this experience. But let time be the truest test of intent. For now, let’s focus on completing our first milestone: Hack A Business.
Your next challenge?
To step up as an Ambassador of the program. This role is optional — but your commitment will not go unnoticed. It will be observed, measured, and remembered.
Our Promise: Education, Free and Fearless
We believe education must be free. And earned.
For 7 years, our team has funded this journey — because we believe students deserve a real chance to step into their future without barriers.
This is your opportunity to fail forward, grow stronger, and lead from exactly where you stand. You can afford to take that leap now — and you must.
